Golf Sim · effective September 7, 2026
Golf Sim is a private booking app for the golf simulator in one residential building. It exists to let residents reserve the bay, and to let the front desk keep that fair. It is not a public service and there is nothing to sell here, so this policy is short.
What the app stores
- Your account — your name, your email address, the unit you are linked to, and whether you are a resident, a guest, front-desk staff, or an administrator.
- How you sign in — there are no passwords. Signing in emails you a six-digit code. If you add a passkey, the app stores that passkey's public key, its credential identifier, and the kind of device it lives on. A public key cannot be used to sign in as you; the private half never leaves your device.
- Your sessions — a session token for each device you sign in on, together with that device's IP address and browser or app identifier, so a session can be recognised and expired.
- Your bookings — the slots you book, the unit or units charged for them, who made the booking, who cancelled it, and when. If you add other players to a booking, their names.
- Notifications — if you ask to be told when a slot frees up, the time range you asked about. If you allow notifications, a push token identifying that install of the app.
What it does not store
No passwords. No payment details. No location data. No advertising identifiers. There are no analytics, tracking, or advertising services in this app of any kind — nothing about your use of it is measured, profiled, or sent anywhere for those purposes. Nothing is sold or shared with data brokers.
Why it holds any of it
To run the booking system: to show the schedule, to hold your reservation, to apply the building's fairness rules — which are counted per unit, which is why a booking is tied to one — to let the front desk help you, and to notify you about the slots you asked about. That is the whole list.
Who can see it
The building's schedule is deliberately open to the people who share the bay: other residents, and the screen outside the room, can see which unit holds a slot. Email addresses are never shown to other residents. Front-desk staff and administrators can see the resident list and unit assignments, which is what lets them link you to your unit and fix mistakes.
Services this relies on
- Cloudflare — hosts the app and its database, and sends the email carrying your sign-in code.
- Expo — delivers app updates and relays push notifications.
- Apple — delivers push notifications to your device.
Each of these processes this data only to provide that service, never for their own purposes.
How long it is kept
Your account details are kept while your account exists. Bookings are kept as the building's record of who used the bay — they are never deleted, only marked cancelled or completed, so that the schedule and the fairness rules have an honest history.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account from inside the app: open the You tab and choose Delete account. Doing so permanently removes your name, your email address, your passkeys, your sessions, your push tokens, and any outstanding notification requests, and it releases your unit. Past bookings remain in the building's record with your name removed from them. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone; you are welcome to sign up again afterwards, though an administrator will need to link you to your unit again.
If you would rather not do it in the app, write to golf@ramonfabrega.com and it will be done for you.
Children
This app is meant for the residents who book the room. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect anything from them.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected or who sees it, the date at the top changes and the new version appears here.
